Being an AIPP member is an important element in the career of a professional photographer. It is a commitment to set the highest standards of performance and customer service.

- Is it necessary to meet the photographer before the photography session?
Celebrate Photography highly recommends you meet your photographer in person prior to your wedding or portrait session at our studio. This way you can discuss your likes and dislikes, special photography requests, what to wear, how to do your make-up and find out what you can expect from Celebrate Photography before, during and after your photography session. You will also feel more comfortable and relaxed as you have already started to build trust and a relationship with the photographer.
- What do you recommend we wear for the day?
Everyone wants to look their best for the camera, and our dedicated staff from Celebrate Photography will be happy to assist you in achieving this. In short, we recommend keep it simple. Make up should be no different to what you would normally wear as we want you to look like you. There is a variety of outfits you can wear from smart casual to formal attire depending on what you want to achieve from you photography, although everyone should be dressed in similar colours that will not compete for attention in the photograph. You will receive a comprehensive guide that covers what to wear, make-up, hair-styling and even preparing pets for your photography session, at your pre-portrait consultation, or just ask when you book your session with us.
- What if it rains on the day?
Some of our best shoots have been on an overcast day. Cloud cover provides a fantastic diffuser which softens bright sunlight and makes for fantastic photography. Although should it be raining consistently on the day of your portrait shoot, we will call you prior to make a decision on giving it a go, or rescheduling at no cost. With Weddings, we will discuss wet weather contingencies, but our photographers are experienced enough to work with any weather conditions to ensure you will still receive outstanding images of your important day.
- What if our child/baby is upset or sick at the shoot?
Celebrate Photography understands that sometime children can be unpredictable and not at their best. Being parents of young children ourselves we know how easy it is for an interrupted night or even an upset tummy to cause havoc the next day. Celebrate Photography will be happy to reschedule your portrait session to another day at no cost, if this is the case. Even if we have already commenced the shoot and you find that your young ones are not at their best.
- Are Celebrate Photography prices negotiable?
Our work is competitively priced as we believe in providing great value to all our clients. We provide various photography packages making it easy to suit your budget requirements and always take into consideration the quantity of images you plan to purchase.
- Do we retain copyright?
As per International copyright laws, copyright is always owned by the photographer / studio. Although at Celebrate Photography, you can negotiate the sale of the negatives or high res files for personal use. A Rights Release can also be negotiated for commercial use if required.
- What do you recommend for photographs: Black & White or Color?
Celebrate Photography uses high end professional digital cameras which gives our clients the flexibility and choice of colour, black & white, sepia or any of our creative colour tones with any of your images. Apart from the superior quality that is only available to professional grade digital cameras, shooting in digital allows you the flexibility to create the style after your session in any colour format. Our photographers will always recommend and show you what looks best at your personalised viewing session.
- Do you use digital or film cameras for photography?
At Celebrate Photography we use high resolution professional grade digital SLR cameras which provide the highest possible quality available to SLR cameras.
- How much extra does it cost to travel to areas outside of Sydney or interstate?
Celebrate Photography will quote on an individual basis, although we generally only charge for travel (ie; fuel or airfares), accommodation and any sundries (meals, rental vehicles, taxes, etc) incurred whilst away.
- What does it mean to be an Award Winning Photographer?
For over 30 years the AIPP has run the most prestigious and highly recognised industry accolades, the Australian Professional Photographer of the Year Awards. Thousands of professional photographs from both Australia and internationally enter a maximum of four images each year for their opportunity to be judged by a panel of their own peers. Competition is fierce with only a very small number of images being recognised as Silver and Gold winners. To receive such an award is a significant achievement in any professional photographer’s career. Points are awarded for each award winning entry, and those showing regular and consistent awards for their outstanding expertise and calibre over a period of years are further recognised with national honours from Associate (AAIPP) to Master of Photography (M. Photog) and Grand Master of Photography (G.M. Photog).
